BVI Companies

A BVI business company (BC) is incorporated in the British Virgin Islands under the International Business Companies Act, 1984 but whose business is to be conducted outside the BVI, and may not do business with any resident in the BVI. There is no requirement for a BVI resident director.

More recently BVI vehicles have been used to incorporate private and holding companies as well as public companies prior to admission to international stock exchanges. Companies incorporated in the BVI can list on the world’s leading stock exchanges.

The BVI provides flexibility in structuring mergers and acquisitions.  It is also possible to redomicile an existing foreign company into the BVI, or to redomicile an existing BVI company elsewhere.
